Tuesday 5th January 2021

Good morning Class 1!

I am so sorry that we can't be together having fun in our classroom at the moment but I look forward to being together again as soon as we can.

Today, I am putting up a few activities for you to do at home until we get the Teams up and running.

So let's start the day with some songs!

English / RE week

YR  Special places.  Can you draw somewhere that is special to you? It may be a corner of your bedroom, a favourite tree on a walk or somewhere in your garden where you like to spend quiet time.

Y1/2 The Gospels.  Jesus had 12 special friends called disciples.  If you needed 12 people to help the world and make it a better place, who would you choose?  You could make a people paper chain.

The word Gospel means good news!

PE- This is on a Friday morning.  Remember you need to come to school dressed in your PE clothes.  Mr Daldrey will be teaching PE outside for as long as the weather permits. so please make sure you come prepared for all weather conditions.

Forest School - This is every Thursday and will take place outside  whatever the weather so please make sure that you have suitable clothes in school to keep you warm and wellies to keep your feet dry!  We have waterproofs in school for you to wear over your warm clothes.

Reading- You will be given three reading books each Monday to take home and enjoy for the whole week.   You will also have a reading diary to record the titles of the books that you have read.  On Friday, if you have read the books, please bring them back to school ready for the next set.

Homework - This will be given out on a Wednesday and you will need to hand it back in on the following Tuesday.  Your homework will be a mixture of phonics, maths, English and spellings.
