Parent Welcome meeting

Thank you to everyone who attended the parent welcome meeting, we hope it was helpful. The Powerpoint we shared is below and hopeful will answer any questions you might have about phonics and reading. If you need more help  please ask at pickup time, i'll be happy to run through it with you.

Welcome to St. James and Ebrington Primary School!

The children have settled into Reception so well and are enjoying everything the classroom has to offer.

Please read our class newsletter (below) to learn more about what we will be focusing on this term. Our phonics teaching has begun and the children are already reading some simple words. We have enjoyed forest school, lunch time, PE and circle times. In maths we have spent a lot of time sorting objects in maths and subitising (what do you see and how do you see it?)

PE is on a Wednesday afternoon. Forest School is Thursday morning with Mrs Monkhouse. Children wear their school uniform with joggers on Thursdays. No shorts or skirts!

I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures. We look forward to our parent welcome meeting on Monday 4th October. The slides from this will be available afterwards for those who cannot attend.
