  • House Tag Rugby 2018

    Fri 19 Oct 2018

On a beautiful autumns day all the children from reception to year 6 took part in the rugby. House captains organised their teams and did a brilliant job looking after the little ones. A huge thank you to CCS who sent their Sports Leaders down to ref the matches, they were outstanding!

After a fun, action packed morning MEON won the tournament. Congratulations !

  • Floorball A Team 16.10.18

    Wed 17 Oct 2018

The Cotswold Floorball League 'A' Team competition's first group is now complete. The table is attached.

St James & Ebrington consolidated their position at the top of the qualifying table with wins against St Davids and Mickleton, as well as a draw with local rivals St Catharines. Oliver Haydon and Oliver Beale each scored twice in a 4-0 win over Mickleton. Haydon put his team ahead against St Catharines, but Max Bolam levelled.  St Catharines had a short handed spell at the end of the match, but survived. Against St Davids, Lewis Martin put the Moreton side ahead and they seemed in control when Thomas Chamberlain's shot headed goalward, only for Jack Lacey to parry it. At the other end, Ellis Muckle also kept out some stinging shots, but could not prevent Joel Masters' late effort from hitting the roof of the net. A draw was on the cards until St Davids had a defender sent to the sin bin for a rash tackle. St James & Ebrington capitalised when Beale scored in the final seconds.

Despite this setback, St Davids finished second in the group, courtesy of Martin's lone goal against Ilmington. St Catharines sealed third place with a 2-1 win over Ilmington. Jack Hemming's first time strike to the far top corner was one of the best goals of the night the lead being stretched to 2-0 when Bolam poked home from close range. Zac Tremellen replicated Hemming's goal to pull one back, but time ran out as Ilmington started to dominate. Ilmington finished in fourth qualifying place when Jack Homans, Tremellen and Homans again gave them a 3-0 victory against Mickleton.
